Frequently Asked Questions

I own several buildings with elevators built by different companies; can Apollo provide service to all of them?

Yes! Apollo Elevators is fully capable of maintaining, repairing, upgrading or modernizing elevators installed by any manufacturer. We have the technical resources necessary to service the full spectrum of elevators and employ technicians from the International Union of Elevator Constructors (IUEC) training program who have been certified and licensed by the jurisdictions in which we work. Our technicians have years of experience working in all areas of the elevator industry and many different types of equipment.

Can I be confident Apollo will be able to obtain the parts necessary to maintain my elevators?

Absolutely. We have established relationships with the parts sales units of all Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM’s) and numerous third party parts makers. If a part for your elevator exists, we can get it.

We want to have a predictable budget for elevator maintenance and a reasonable way to manage repair costs. Can you provide that?

Our mission is to provide high quality service at a fair price and great customer service. We want to partner with you to help you meet your business goals by managing the elevators in your building(s). We offer flexible options for service agreements and a very competitive hourly rate for other work. We want to work with you to create the experience you want for your relationship with us and for your customers’ experience with your elevators.

Does Apollo install elevators?

Yes. We install commercial passenger and freight elevators, residential elevators, wheelchair lifts, vertical platform lifts and dumbwaiters. We install high quality non-proprietary equipment from top industry manufacturers.

What does proprietary mean to me with respect to my elevator?

Most large Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) that also install and maintain elevator equipment have equipment that is to some degree proprietary. This limits the ability of others to obtain engineering support, software upgrades, and in some other ways that may not affect the day to day maintenance of the elevator, but which are designed to force you as the elevator owner to have to return to the OEM for certain things. Sometimes the equipment is openly proprietary, where no one but the elevator owner can buy software upgrades from the OEM, for example. Other times the equipment is constructively proprietary, where anyone can buy the parts, but the price for anyone other than the owner buying from the OEM is so high that no one can effectively compete on performing work on the elevator. Apollo only installs non-proprietary equipment so that any licensed elevator technician can work on it without any limitation.
